Hi

What's up people? I took a break from blogging because in reading other's blogs, it was apparent that they live so much more interesting lives than I do. I suppose that's my own fault; life is what you make of it. So I haven't really had much to say...........until now

Terri Schiavo passed away at 8:03 central time this morning. No matter what side you come down on in this debate, starving someone is cruel beyond words. The USA is now beyond repair. The laws on the books are subserviant to the whims of appointed judges, who are simply to interpret law. We, however, in the "daddy" state we are in, seem content to let a judge decide what is right and wrong, even to the point of "creating" new law where there was none before. America is no longer governed by the Constitution; it has become a relic of an earlier time. Law is no longer enforced; if it were, Florida governor Bush would have had every right to move in and take custody of Terri. The law of the state of Florida backs him up. He is the highest state authority. Not judges, not legislators, but Gov. Bush is. Yet, as we saw in Massachusetts when 3 judges DEMANDED that the state legislature create gay marriage, Gov. Bush said he could not disobey a court order.
(Of course he can, if it is WRONG, but I digress.)

And so, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the "new" United States.....of Amerika.
Where the rules and regulations are whatever serves each individual's agenda on any given day.

Until good, solid-thinking, common-sense people rise up and say ENOUGH!, America continues down the path to destruction. And once we arrive there, what will the liberals complain about then?

Forgive me, friends, for I have been neglectful........

........it has been ten days since my last blog. During that time, I have consulted with a dermatologist about the continuing rash, which has almost cleared up on my legs but seems concentrated on both feet......very inconvenient when one has to wear shoes not only for practical reasons, but also for societal and cultural reasons. Otherwise there has not been a lot happening worth discussing. Therefore, no new blogs until now. Oh wait...........Illinois' men's basketball team lost their first game of the season this past Sunday........they play Northwestern today at 11 am Central time in the Big Ten (11) tournament in Chicago. Meanwhile Dan Blather (Rather) stepped down from the CBS evening news........I missed it. I'm so upset...........and if you believe that, I have some refrigeration equipment in Antarctica to sell you.

Back to work now.................

Have a good day and weekend.

Beware the ides of March.....................

or even the beginning of the month. It snowed last night. Not very much, but enough to collect on the front yard. After temps in the high 40's.....it snowed. I hate winter. (For a more eloquent treatise on this subject, visit www.anonymousmidwestgirl.blogspot.com)

I can hardly hold my head up right now. Maybe it's the meds, maybe it's the 11 or 12 straight nights of waking up at 1:30 am, so congested and plugged up that I could not breathe, and sitting up in front of the TV for an hour till I could breathe, only to be awakened by the alarm clock at 4:00 am.
The good news is, yesterday my doctor told me to use Drixoral, and I got up in the middle of the night only briefly, to use the rest room. And yet, I still feel like I want to sleep for 3 day straight. Ahhhh...........to sleep..................perchance, to dream..............

The rash on my legs has not shown signs of leaving, so my doctor referred me to a dermatologist. I go next Tuesday. Usually at the clinic where my health insurance is, you have to wait weeks, or even months to see a specialist. I got in in a week. So, I am fortunate there.

Otherwise, how are things? Okay, I suppose. I do have much to be thankful for, and so here endeth the complaining. :-)

Have a good day, and in the words of the song........."Shower the people you love with love, show them the way that you feel."
